Accompanied by the Group: A Three-Day Travelogue of Our Trip to Shanxi and Henan —— A Company Trip Report
A journey through mountains and waters has enriched both you and me, adding to our seven-star experiences. Exploring Shanxi and Henan lets you savor leisurely scenic beauty. The three-day tour has come to a perfect close, yet the memories and joy it brought will linger long after it’s over—making the entire experience not only beautifully crafted but also endlessly beneficial.
From May 12 to May 14, taking advantage of the gap between the project’s production schedule and the arrival of raw materials, our company—guided by the principles of putting people first and fostering a joyful work environment—further promoted our corporate culture, strengthened team cohesion, enhanced employees’ sense of belonging and happiness, and ensured that employees could fully relax and recharge both physically and mentally. To this end, we partnered with Hengshui’s most professional travel agency to organize a three-day leisure tour for our employees. A total of 27 employees participated in this trip, visiting four scenic and cultural sites: Situ Town in Shanxi Province, Huangcheng Xiangfu, Baoquan Secret Realm in Henan Province, and Fenglin Gorge.
At 6 a.m. on the 12th, after thorough preparations, the 27 travelers boarded their vehicles—one at the Municipal Square and another at the company—thus embarking on a three-day joyous journey together. Everyone completely let go of the stress from daily work and the worries of everyday life. At that moment, their hearts were filled with boundless excitement and anticipation. Some were eager for delicious food, others for breathtaking views, some for pure relaxation, and still others for enriching their life experiences. The professional tour guide provided warm and attentive service, frequently interacting with the group and patiently answering every “quirky” question. Everyone was full of energy, and the entire trip was filled with laughter, cheerful chatter, and a sense of joyful camaraderie. On the bus, some closed their eyes to rest and recharge their energy; others set up makeshift card tables and started playing poker; yet others opened their throats and sang heartily... All of them had forgotten their troubles and relieved their stress—leaving behind nothing but pure happiness, fully immersed in joy!
At 1:00 p.m., we arrived at our first stop—the Situ Town. After having lunch and checking into our accommodations, we watched a series of captivating live performances in Situ Town, including “The Marriage of Xiao Erhei,” traditional Shanxi wedding customs, courtroom trials staged by officials, and “Seeing Old Shanxi Again.” As the saying goes, “To understand China’s five-thousand-year history, look to Shanxi”—and in Situ Town, we truly immersed ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of old Shanxi. We got a firsthand glimpse into Shanxi’s Jin merchant culture, its exquisite noodle dishes, and its renowned wine and vinegar traditions. In the evening, we witnessed the most breathtaking spectacle yet—the Millennium Iron Soul. The millennium-old iron-smelting technique known as “Iron Flower” left us utterly amazed. It vividly showcased Shanxi’s coal and iron culture. The blacksmiths hurled molten iron heated to 1,535 degrees Celsius high into the air, creating a dazzling sea of sparks that lit up the night sky like a spectacular Chinese fireworks display. The scene was electric with excitement—cheers and shouts filled the air. All of us Seven Star employees couldn’t help but marvel at what we were seeing. This experience truly broadened our horizons, making the trip completely worthwhile and leaving us with no regrets for having made the journey!

On the morning of the 13th, at the second stop on our itinerary, we visited Huangcheng Xiangfu—a 5A scenic area hailed by experts as “the ancestral home of China’s foremost cultural clan in northern China.” This is the former residence of Chen Tingjing, the tutor of Emperor Kangxi
After a hearty lunch, our next stop is Baoquan Secret Realm in Jiaozuo, Henan Province—a place that’s become a hotspot for internet-famous check-ins. Here, you’ll find iconic photo spots, crystal-clear waters, red sandstone mountains, deep canyons, and tranquil streams—all the essence of nature’s breathtaking beauty gathered in one spot. The river water is so clear you can see right to the bottom, exuding a rich, pristine ecological vibe. The air is refreshingly pure, offering a truly immersive experience that cleanses your lungs and completely revitalizes both body and mind, elevating your emotions to new heights.

Several young, physically fit colleagues approached the summit and had an intimate encounter with the monkeys—truly becoming one with nature.
After visiting Baoquan, we drove to Xiuwu County in Henan Province for the night. What struck me most was the ubiquitous slogans proclaiming “The People Come First—The Communist Party Is Great!” and the vibrant new rural scenery I experienced there. Early on the 14th, we set off through the drizzling rain toward Fenglin Gorge. The gentle, steady rainfall added an especially poetic atmosphere. Everyone donned colorful raincoats, making us all look rather similar—and someone even joked, “You can tell who’s who by their shoes!” There were plenty of humorous folks among us. At first, we walked at a brisk pace, but as we neared the end of the trail, we grew increasingly exhausted, gasping for breath. We took frequent breaks along the way, stopping now and then to snap photos and capture the memorable moments. Even the Taihang macaques came running over to join in the fun. After climbing more than 4,000 steps, we finally reached the bottom of the gorge. There, we boarded a tour boat to admire the breathtaking beauty of both banks. Surrounded by towering peaks, the gorge’s reflections shimmered beautifully, making it feel like stepping into a secluded paradise. Finally, we took the cable car back up to the mountaintop.

At noon on the 14th, after enjoying Henan-style braised noodles and sampling the famous Jiaozuo liquor, everyone set off on their journey home with joyful hearts and lingering flavors. At 7:00 p.m., the tour bus arrived safely back at the company, bringing the entire trip to a smooth conclusion. During these three days of travel, no one felt tired—only laughter filled the air. Time flew by, leaving everyone feeling reluctant to part ways, with a touch of sadness and nostalgia. This trip allowed us to discover a unique experience, one that stood apart from our usual busy work and daily life.
On this tour, everyone immersed themselves in the beauty of mountains and waters, completely forgetting the stress of work and fully savoring the joy of travel. Not only did this help relieve everyday work pressures, but it also enriched our spirits, enhanced personal cultivation, and strengthened team cohesion and unity. It fully showcased the Seven-Star team spirit, highlighted the charm of Seven Star, and enabled each traveler to gain valuable experiences and impressive stories to share. As a result, everyone will be able to approach their future work and life with even greater enthusiasm, contributing more vigorously to the company’s continued rapid development!
