The Second Hiking Expedition
On the morning of April 13, following a spring rain and accompanied by a clearing sky, the company’s second spring hiking event officially kicked off. The wet asphalt roads were adorned with the exquisite marks left by last night’s spring rain; petals and branches seemed to be announcing loudly: Spring has arrived! As soon as the bus arrived at the hiking trailhead, the excited employees immediately formed a long line, ready to set off. Hoisting the banner of Zhongneng Jiyе, we set out toward our shared destination: Hengshui Lake!
Although it had just rained and the breeze was crisp and refreshing, it couldn’t hide the excitement and passion in people’s hearts. Now and then, they’d pause to take photos, captivated by the beautiful scenery and savoring the ease and comfort that nature brought. At other times, they’d laugh heartily with their companions, playfully joking around and drawing closer to one another, forging a deep sense of mutual understanding. Spring seemed to have become much brighter precisely because of this group of people.
During the hike, occasionally some employees would fall behind the group. But those ahead would immediately offer caring greetings and help the employees who were feeling physically exhausted to keep going. Thankfully, all the employees made every effort to persevere until the very end—no one gave up easily. This spirit of never giving up is precisely the company’s most precious asset! Amidst laughter and cheerful chatter, the ten-kilometer journey came to a close.
As lunch began, golden sunlight shone upon the willow trees. Under these willows, everyone eagerly helped each other organize their hiking gear and shared delicious homemade food they’d brought along. The air was filled with a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, and all the fatigue from work and worries of daily life seemed to melt away in this pleasant afternoon. What overflowed instead were heartfelt bonds of friendship and care. After finishing lunch, the entire company group headed to Hengshui Lake Marathon Square, where they held a kite-flying event and played poker games. One by one, brightly colored kites soared high into the sky, carried aloft by the gentle spring breeze. Bathed in the sunlight, the kites seemed to come alive, dancing gracefully in the air. It wasn’t just the kites that were soaring high—our own cheerful spirits were soaring too! Meanwhile, groups of poker players were brimming with energy, eagerly anticipating the upcoming competition. Whether or not they had signed up beforehand, all employees enthusiastically joined in the games, bringing the second Spring Hiking Event to a thrilling climax.
